‘Nocturnal Animals’ Trailer

Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams star in Nocturnal Animals, the highly anticipated second feature film from director Tom Ford.

Jake Gyllenhaal continues to clime up the ladder to Hollywood’s elite circle of talent. His recent outings including Nightcrawler and Southpaw reflect the 35-year-old’s tenacity and passion for his craft. There’s no question that Gyllenhaal has become the sort of talent that filmmakers around the world are clambering to work with.

Likewise, Amy Adams has also been very busy the last number of years, showing up in Oscar contenders such as The Fighter and American Hustle, to comic book superhero movies such as Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Adams shows her capability in handling a range of characters, film styles and subject matters.

The two top-tier performers join forces, along with critically acclaimed director Tom Ford (A Single Man), to present a film that early viewers, such as Film School Rejects‘ Matt Hoffman, have dubbed, “cinema at its most vibrant”.

Official Description and Trailer:

From writer/director Tom Ford comes a haunting romantic thriller of shocking intimacy and gripping tension that explores the thin lines between love and cruelty, and revenge and redemption. Academy Award nominees Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal star as a divorced couple discovering dark truths about each other and themselves in “Nocturnal Animals.”

With the recent shortcomings of The Girl on the Train, Nocturnal Animals sounds to be a thriller-remedy of sorts, a master class in style and tension from a director whose work in the fashion industry has clearly had a hugely positive influence on his film making.
