A new TV spot for Captain America: Civil War shows Tom Holland’s Spider-Man fighting and interacting with Bucky Barnes.

Marvel continues to push more and more action-packed promotional material for the recently released Captain America: Civil War. The film sees Chris EvansCaptain America/Steve Rogers fall into conflict with Robert Downey Jr.‘s Iron Man/Tony Stark over an Act that would see every superhero officially register themselves with the government for regulatory purposes. The Cap believes that the ‘best hands are’ their ‘own’, and that the government’s agenda could lead to the heroes being forced to do things not in keeping with their moral principles. For Tony, his latest experiment gone wrong with Ultron, in Avengers: Age of ultron, showed him that power needs to be regulated, along with the fact that at some point the government would probably have their way in the matter anyway.

While Civil War sees appearances from many of Marvel’s previously established characters, including War Machine (Don cheadle) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), many fans are perhaps most excited by the inclusion of Tom Holland‘s incarnation, and newly rebooted version, of Spider-Man. The film marks the first time Marvel has been able to use the famous wall-crawler in their own feature-length picture, and that presents directing duo Joe and Anthony Russo with a huge task, bearing in mind they already had so many other characters to work with.

The new TV Spot, shown below, certainly dispels any doubts we may have had in the pair’s ability to balance these characters, and give Spidey a great big introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe:

While those who have already seen Civil War have stated that the character’s role is small, they’ve been quick to add that Holland’s version of the web-slinger is great, and that they can’t wait to see more of him in the near future.
