Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for the film adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ The Girl On The Train Starring Emily Blunt.
With the rise of book-to-film adaptations continuing build momentum, author Paula Hawkins is now receiving a big screen retelling of her own top selling 2015 psychological thriller The Girl on the Train.
With an array of talent involved with the project, including the aforementioned Emily Blunt (Sicario) and Haley Bennett (Hardcore Henry) who star alongside Luke Evans (High-Rise), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation), Justin Theroux (Zoolander 2), Édgar Ramírez (Joy) and Allison Janney (Minions), The Girl on the Train looks as though it will bring the twists and turns of the book to life, and could perhaps see itself become a memorable thriller, which we don’t necessarily see so much these days.

In the thriller, Rachel (Blunt), who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.
