A new extended clip for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has shown footage of what appears to be the Dark Knight’s Batwing plummeting to the ground.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new extended look at their eagerly awaited superhero film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which sees an older Dark Knight come out of the shadows in order to take down the all-powerful alien Superman, who Bruce believes presents a grave threat to humanity, given the the catastrophic events that occurred in Man of Steel.

With the film just days from release, marketing has stepped into full gear with new promotional material making its way online almost everyday. This latest clip reveals new footage, including a shot of what looks like the Batwing falling from the sky and crashing down onto city streets, causing a huge explosion.. Let’s hope the caped crusader had made it out in time!

Many showed up for the BvS premiere in New York City Sunday night (you can check out some of the photos on our Instagram page) and a number of attendees shared their initial reactions, which you can see here, proclaiming Zack Snyder‘s vision of DC heroes to be a “masterpiece”..but let’s wait and see for ourselves eh.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day saviour, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25th.
