Ron Perlman has recently spoken out about his thoughts on continuing the Hellboy series.
The 65 year old actor has been subjected to countless questions about Hellboy 3 over the last seven years, but new comments about the announced threequel have shed light on his somewhat negative feelings towards donning the demon look once again:
“Let me make the record clear. I don’t want to do Hellboy 3. It’s a pain in the ass to put that makeup on and take it off. But I feel we’re obligated to finish the story. That’s it. End of conversation.”
It seems as though the third installment, if it comes, will wrap up the first two films with it in a nice neat trilogy.
Perlman himself appears to be completely on board, although personally uninterested, for getting the movie made for the sake of the fans, as he continues on to say:
“I got no problems with forcing the conversation, as you can tell. We’re in the business of moving mountains. Those of us who are used to working in mainstream film and television. Don’t come to me with details and problems. Just tell me how we move the mountain.”
What are your thoughts on Perlman reprising the role a third time? Let us know!
Hellboy 3 is in it’s conception and has not yet been given a release date.
