20th Century Fox has just released another teaser video for the upcoming Ridley Scott Project The Martian. The footage shows the crew going through a psychological examination after their 10-day-isolation training exercise, part of the preparation for their voyage to Mars.

Ridley Scott returns with another big space epic, but the once heralded filmmaker knows The Martian is his best shot to win over critics and audiences once again, after the poor offerings of the last ten years, such as The Counselor (2013) and Prometheus (2012) . Can he turn things around? That’ll have to wait until October 2nd..

Official Synopsis:

During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible rescue mission. As these stories of incredible bravery unfold, the world comes together to root for Watney’s safe return.

The Martian stars Matt Damon (Green Zone), Jessica Chastain (Interstellar), Kristen Wiig (Welcome to me), Kate Mara (“House of Cards”, Fantastic Four), Michael Pena (Fury, End of Watch), Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber To), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Donald Glover (“Community”, Mystery Team).
