As filming for Captain America: Civil War gets underway Sony/Marvel still have yet to announce the new Spider-Man, but we may find out soon!
The new rebooted version of the character will get his first solo film in 2017 but before then we have been told the web-slinger will appear in at least one Marvel film. Although there has been no official conformation as of yet, many are pointing to Civil War as the perfect opportunity to launch the new Spidey.

Kevin Feige has made it clear that this Peter Parker will be a 15/16 year old high school student, which gives the studios a little longer to utilise and develop the character, where as in previous iterations the character had started as a graduating high school senior that had become adult age by the second movie. So with that in mind, it would be highly likely that the actor cast for the role would be an 18-21 year old (you must be 18 to work full days/hours weeks)
The frontrunners for the part were Tom Holland and Asa Butterfield (Enders Game) but word has come today from El Mayimbe that Butterfield is in final negotiations and the only thing that remains is for him to sign a contract.
What are your thoughts on Butterfield as the new Peter Parker?
