Mews Picks: ‘HD’ Batwing Concept Art Revealed, Jimi Hendrix Biopic News And Why We Love Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool’ Pics

Once again El Mayimbe has given us a sneak peek at a piece of concept art, this time in the shape of the new Batwing from Warner Bros. highly anticipated film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Check out the image below:

The real talking point for fans is how does the design compare with that of the Dark Knight Returns? Well, although there are clearly many references to the classic Frank Miller Novel in BVS, here it is a little different with a more modern approach in terms of the look of the Batwing. However it does have a very big, brooding feel which is in keeping with the overall dark tone, specially with the pronounced turret-like feature at the front. In the trailer we get a clear shot of the devastating, likely lethal, effect of this incredible machine.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release on March 16th, 2016

News On The Jimi Hendrix Biopic

Word has come out that Legendary Pictures are developing a new Jimi Hendrix biopic detailing the musician’s life, with Paul Greengrass (Captain Phillips, The Bourne Ultimatum) in the director’s chair.

2013’s Jimi: All Is By My Side, which featured Andre 3000 as Hendrix, ultimately fell flat as the iconic guitarist’s original songs could not be used due to disagreements with the singer’s estate Experience Hendrix. This time around however, the studio and estate are working together so that we will get to hear those classic songs needed to provide real emotion to the film which previous versions couldn’t achieve.

I think by now we all know that Reynolds was born to play the role of the “Merch with a mouth” A.K.A. Deadpool
