Bryan Singer and 20th Century Fox have released a video of Kodi Smit Mcphee as the young teleporting mutant Nightcrawler.
The video has since been removed but the image above gives you a close up of Kurt Wagner (nightcrawler) as seen in the footage. The pic has arrived just as shooting for the film begins. Many fans were left wondering why the character was left out of 2006’s trilogy ending X-Men film The Last Stand as he had been so well received in his first appearance in X-Men 2, then portrayed by Alan Cummings. Of course this was not the only thing in the X-Men threequel that disappointed fans..
No word has yet been given on how Kurt will fit into X-Men: Apocalypse, all we know is that the story will take place in the 1980s a little after the (past) events of Days of Future Past. Mcphee has teased that the character will support the same religious beliefs as he did in X2, and that we may potentially see his ties with Raven A.K.A. Mystique this time around.
What are your thoughts on seeing this new young Nightcrawler in action?
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to hit theatres May 19th 2016
